Terpsichore, the student dance organization of Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ of Akron Dance Program, presents its annual “Spring Into Dance” performances April 2-4 at 7:30 p.m. in Daum Theatre in Kolbe Hall, 328 Buchtel Common, on campus.
“Spring Into Dance” is a student-orchestrated production showcasing the works of seven student choreographers, ranging from contemporary dance to hip- hop. The cast, crew and choreographers are all Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ dance students who hone their skills by taking on new roles and working together to create a unique and diverse show.
The seven undergraduate choreographers this year include:
- Emilia Resanovic: Akron
- Christine Howe: Medina
- Kaytee Cox: Wadsworth
- Rachel Spies: Chesterland
- Margaret Katter: Indianapolis, Ind.
- Kweku Bransah: Columbus
- Alexandria Logsdon: Marysville
Tickets are $7. Help support the Battered Women’s Shelter by bringing a donation of gently used clothing and receive a $2 discount. Tickets are available for purchase at the box office one hour before each performance. All proceeds from “Spring into Dance” support student dance scholarships.
